Multi-Functional

In addition to being an ideal ESWL therapy system, the new MODULITH ® SLX-F2 »FD21« is also perfectly designed for simple endourological procedures. For this purpose, the patient table can be equipped with an easy-to-install radiotransparent insert plate and comfortable stirrups. This turns the MODULITH® SLX-F2 »FD21« into a multifunctional workstation and ensures a high rate of system utilization in daily clinical practice.

Innovative X-ray technology for ESWL

Modern dynamic X-ray flat-panel detectors (FPDs) offer a range of technical benefits over conventional image intensifiers (IIs): among other advantages, they do not react to external magnetic fields and exhibit no geometrical image distortion. Additionally, the rectangular shape of the flat-panel detector enables imaging of a significantly larger region of interest (ROI) than with round image intensifiers of comparable size.

STORZ MEDICAL is making an uncompromising statement by adding a new X-ray flat-panel detector to our product portfolio and therefore committing to the principle of minimizing radiation dose. This solution enables efficient stone treatment

The Lithotripter In A Class Of Its Own

In-line localization

Thanks to the cylindrical design of the STORZ MEDICAL therapy coil, the stone can always be imaged in situ on the central therapy head axis – even during shock wave treatment – regardless of whether a standard AP fluoroscopic projection or ultrasound localization is performed.

This in-line configuration ensures that obstacles in the shock wave field, such as ribs or the iliac wing, are instantly visible and can be by-passed during shock wave application.

Dual focus

No two stones or anatomies are the same. Hence, different focal zones are required to accommodate for different stone sizes and positions. The MODULITH® SLX-F2 »FD21« offers a dual focus, allowing selection of shock wave parameters best suited to the patient’s specific indication and a personalized treatment strategy. Easy changeover between one focus and the other is possible with a simple press of a button, even during treatment. A ground-breaking solution in the history of lithotripsy.

Control And Documentation

StorM-Touch

The StorM-Touch central control platform gives operators full control of all system functions. All integrated system components are controlled from a touch screen, either from a remote control panel behind leadglass windows or directly in the treatment room. The optional automated LithoPos stone positioning system is also integrated into the StorM-Touch platform.

StorM-Base

The StorM-Base patient database integrates seamlessly with the StorM-Touch platform and offers an ideal interface for retrieving and importing all patient and treatment data. The intuitive, modern design facilitates necessary documentation in daily clinical practice and makes time-consuming manual preparation of patient reports a thing of the past.
